Is this technology safe for me and for my baby?
Yes, completely. nfant Thrive Breast uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to safely and non-invasively measure milk flow. If you have ever used a body scale to measure your body mass, or have had your heart rate measured while using gym equipment, then you are familiar with BIA. This technique evaluates body composition based on how different tissues conduct electricity.

Do I need two Links to collect data on both breasts?
No. The Link can be moved from one breast to the other when switching sides (electrodes should be placed on both breasts – 4 total). We suggest starting by measuring one breast per feeding. As you get more comfortable, you may choose to capture data on both, but starting with only the first breast will make the process less stressful as you and baby learn.

Is the Breast Sensor the same as the Bottle sensor?
No. The Breast Sensor measures impedance and the Bottle Sensor measures pressure. They have specific components to support these different functions.

Can I reuse the electrodes?
The electrodes can stay on your skin for at least 24 hours and maintain their stickiness. If you would like to measure multiple sessions in a day, we suggest you leave the same electrodes on your breast and put the Link back on when you are ready to nurse or pump. The electrodes can be removed and placed again, but the data captured may not be as accurate.

My sensor is not charging. What now?
The charger should be plugged into a charging block with at least ?? amps of power. Your phone block will most likely work. Make sure the sensor is removed from the link and the “n” logo is facing down. Place the sensor in the middle of the charging pad. If the pad and sensor do not light up, remove the sensor and place it back down.

How long does it take to charge the sensor?
Charging will take approximately 30 min and will maintain a charge of about 2.5-3 hours of feeding. It can also sit idle for 3-4 days and maintain its charge. We recommend storing your sensor on the charger. Note: The sensor will charge on any MagSafe charger.
